Matt Slabach has been leading our Youth Group for the past 3 years.  Matt asked Jesus to be his Savior at the age of 12,  and rededicated his life to Him after college.  Matt married his high school sweetheart, Tisa, during his first year of college, on November 3, 2001.  He continued his education at Purdue University,  where he earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology.  The couple was blessed by the birth of their daughter, Natalie, in July of 2003, and by the birth of their son, Will, in February of 2006.
After earning his degree in MET, Matt went to work in Cincinnati, Ohio.  It was there that he rededicated his life to the Lord, at Lindenwald Baptist Church in Hamilton, Ohio.  After living in Ohio for a year, the Slabach family moved back to Indiana.  Matt works as an Engineer in Frankfort, and took on leadership of the Youth Group in September of 2008.  Since then, he has developed the "Wildfire" service, a contemporary evening service.
Matt loves to spend time with his family and friends, and is always trying to better himself.  His goal is for others to see Jesus'  light in him.  In his free time (when he has any) Matt  enjoys bow hunting, watching Purdue football, playing on the church softball team, playing with his kids, and dating his wife.  He's also a big fan of Angry Birds.
