Pastor Jeff has been our pastor for over seven years now and has been in the minstry for 32. PJ is a native of our neighboring buckeye state, where he was born and raised. He received Christ into his heart as his Savior and Lord at age 15 in his home church, the First Baptist Church of Hamilton, Ohio. Later that nex year he was called into the ministry at age 16.
He graduated from Judson University of Elgin, Illinois in 1978 with a bachelor's degree in Communications. It was at Judson where he men, courted and later married the love of his life, Margie Cole on July 28, 1979. They have been married for over 32 years and have two sons, Joshua (Chicago) and Luke (Central Indiana). Luke and his wife Jessica have blessed Jeff and Margie with their only grandson, Edward.
Following Judson, PJ graduated from Northern Baptist Theological Seminary in Lombard, IL with a Masters of Divinity degree in 1984. He was also ordained into the "Gospel Ministry" in 1984. He has served the Lord in American Baptit Churches in Illinois, Iowa and Indiana. He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry degree.
PJ has a rich sense of humor, plays golf poorly, enjoys history, collect quarters, and drinks coffee. He loves his Savior and family. He tries to live so others will see Christ in him. His personal mission is to "help people grow into a deeper walk of faith." He believes and practices the purpose of the church, which is to "evangelize the lost, disciple the believers and serve our community." He is conservative, evangelical, Biblical and would love to take you out for a cup of coffee.
