Hi, I’m Jeff Sexton.  I’ve been the pastor at Calvary since July 11, 2004 and I’m loving it.  This is a great place to connect with God and His people.

My sons remind me that I was born in the last millennium (somewhere in the dark ages) and raised in Hamilton, OH.  I went to Judson College in Elgin, IL. for my bachelors degree and then earned my Master’s of Divinity from Northern Baptist Theological Seminary in Lombard, IL.

I met the love of my life, Margie while at Judson and we celebrated 25 years of marriage in July of 2004.  Some think she should win a medal for being married to me that long, but I think she likes me.  She has taught Chemistry for over 10 years and now teaches at Kokomo High School.

We have two sons.  Josh is attending Judson College and aspires to the ministry.  Luke attends Kokomo High School and loves music.

I have served churches for over 25 years and love my job.  I get to preach and teach the gospel of Jesus Christ.  I do so with enthusiasm, creativity and a lot of volume (they say I’m loud).  I love my God and feel that it’s ok to have fun in church.  I believe in a God who smiles and laughs with His people.  It’s my prayer that people leave Calvary knowing that they connected with and worshipped the living God.

I am a conservative, evangelical pastor.  I feel called to evangelize the lost, disciple believers and serve my community.

I believe that each person was created for a purpose.  We all have a mission.  My mission is to “help people grow into a deeper walk of faith with Jesus Christ.”  As you come to know our church and my ministry a little better, I hope you’ll allow me the opportunity to help you grow a little deeper in your faith.

Call me up and we’ll share a cup of coffee and a piece of pie…
